Applications now open to join the steering committee for 2021

 

The Communities at the Heart of UHC campaign is opening applications for new organizations to join the Steering Committee ! Launched in 2018, the Campaign has influenced policy and elevated the need to prioritize community health as part of the UHC movement over the past two years. As a Steering Committee member, your organization will contribute to the strategic direction and annual activities of the campaign to ensure the continued success of the campaign. 

 

Eligibility: To be eligible, organizations must be a member of the Communities at the Heart of UHC Campaign and have a strong interest in community health and universal health coverage. We are looking for applicants with a track record of successful UHC advocacy and an interest in contributing expertise to the campaign. 

 

Application Process: For your organization to be considered for the Steering Committee, you must submit a Letter of Intent expressing interest in and qualifications for joining the committee. We encourage you to use this template for your letter. The Letter of Intent must be submitted to skurtovic@livinggoods.org by October 19. Applications will be reviewed from October 19-30th, with results being announced in early November. 

 

Steering Committee Commitment: We expect Steering Committee members to commit time to the following activities (full Terms of Reference available here):

  • Monthly (remote) planning meetings and quarterly (in person as possible) progress review;

  • Developing and implementing an annual work plan that furthers the Campaign’s vision, mission and goals;

  • Promoting new and diverse campaign membership;

  • Creating of advocacy tools and other deliverables necessary to advance campaign objectives;

  • Implementing a communications plan to raise awareness on community health and UHC including promoting core messages in media, blogs, social media and more; and

  • Designing and executing advocacy events at major global forums where we will amplify CHWs as a critical pathway to UHC or in your ongoing communications and social media efforts.
